Since the employees of the STM the STM employees doesn't work are on strike, I use I've been using my bicycle each day. The first day, I was very tired when I opened the store but now it's fine. The girlfriend of my brother gave lent me his her helmet. I'll be top shape at the end of the week.
I don't understand why the government don't stop the conflict between the STM and his its employees. These people are pay very good well paid, much than me. :-) 50000$ each year. They only want a lot of money. The poor people, who use bus and subway all day for work, have are having many difficulties to go going to work. If you don't have a regular schedule, 9 to 5, you can't take bus or subway. You begin become a bicycle rider like me.
I don't know if I'll lose weight but it's that's not my goal. ;-)
My mother have has a swimming pool. If it will be sunny this weekend maybe I'll swim. I hope so.
It's very hot in Montreal today.
Cheers,
Mémé

I'm unhappy with the STM strike too. I think it's irresponsible for a union to hold the public hostage like this. People rely on public transit for their jobs and day-to-day activities.
That said, they're determined to strike; at least the weather is nice and we'll get lots of exercise. ;-)
Here are some corrections:
* Since the STM employees aren't working, I've been using my bicycle each day.
When a union votes to stop working, they are said to be "on strike," so you could also say "Since the STM employees are on strike..."
* My brother's girlfriend lent me her(?) helmet.
We use the verb "to lend" when someone gives you something temporarily. If it's the girlfriend's helmet, then we use "her," if it's the boyfriend's, then we use "his." This is backwards from French. :-)
* ... between the STM and its employees.
We reserve personal pronouns for individuals. The only exceptions I can think of are sometimes pets and ships, but it's probably best to forget that I said that. :-)
* These people are paid very well -- much more than me.
"Good" is an adjective, "well" is an adverb. Although, I have to say that many English speakers make this mistake too!
* The poor people who use bus and subway all day for work, are having many difficulties going to work.
Since the difficulties are due to the strike in progress, we use the progressive tense.
* You become a bicycle rider like me.
"begin" doesn't make much sense here; I think "become" might be what you had in mind.
* I don't know if I'll lose weight, but that's not my goal.
As long as the weather stays nice, I guess we can't complain! Exercise is always good. :-)
* My mother has a swimming pool.
Lucky! We have a swimming pool in our apartment building, but I haven't been using it. I really ought to. I guess I'd need to buy a swimming suit first! ;-)
Hi Mark!
I think buying a swimsuit should be a good idea now. ;-)
Cheers,
Have a great day and great weekend,
M.
